Friendships and Understanding. Participants learn what
services the schools & community offer.
Naples Alliance for Children and the City of Naples sponsor on the annual Back to School Bash every August at River Park Community Center. The 2006 Bash was held Saturday, August 5. Parents or guardians attend with their children. Start-up school supplies were distributed to families who attended.
 This activity is held in collaboration with the Collier County Public Schools, River Park Recreation Center, Collier County Health and Sheriff Departments, Catholic Charities, Child Care of SW Florida, Epilepsy Foundation, Girl Scouts, Kid Care/Healthy Kids, Macedonia Baptist Church, Mental Health , NAMI, Naples Fire Department, North Naples Kiwanis Club, Planned Parenthood, Project Help, Shelter for Abused Women, and other family service providers.
The day’s activities start with a family lunch. The activity provides a social environment to meet teachers and a place to learn what services are provided by the schools and the community. Activities include presentations by school administrators and community family service providers. Entertainment includes games, magician, Macedonia Church Youth Choir, Male Chorus, 4H Stompers, and the Bethesda Pentecostal Church Youth Choir.
