The NAFC Education Committee and Board of Directors have developed programs to fill the growing parenting needs of Collier County. This committee provides information, workshops, seminars, education programs, videos and other information to schools, community organizations and businesses. New ideas are always welcome.
Committee membership is open to everyone interested in parenting, education issues and teen issues. The committee meets on the second Tuesday of the month at Step By Step, 5860 Golden Gate Parkway, from September through June.

At Wits End Parenting Workshops have been on such topics as:
“Don’t Laugh At Me”: Panel on Bullying.
Making Molehills Out Of Mountains: Dr. Dan Shapiro, Behavioral Pediatrician, Rockville, Maryland gave practical strategies for parents with difficult children.
Three or Four Year High School Curriculum? Information for parents and teens on options available before and after high school.
The Secret Life of Middle School Kids: A panel of “experts”, high school students, tell what they remember of middle school, what they wish their parents knew about and what they think parents could do to help.
The Media: Children Under the Influence: A highly experienced panel discusses music, books, internet, and current trends that kids have to deal with daily. Teen Issues addressed by the committee include but are not limited to graduation options, after school programs, teen pregnancy, suicide, tobacco, school drop out and other related issues.
