Emergency/Disaster Situations
Material listed should be gathered in advance and put aside for emergency/ disaster situations.

All supplies should be placed in a Waterproof Tote or Container.
Infants (newborn to 1 year)
- Diapers (6-10 per day for each child)
- Diaper Wipes (2 boxes for 2-3 days) In case no water is available for clean ups.
- Car Seat
- Child’s Personal Effects
Medications (Fill in advance)

Clothing
Toys (i.e. rattles/soft toys/cloth books/small soft balls)
- Formula/water/bottles/food/cups with lids and appropriate utensils.
- Fold-up Beds (Optional)
Toddlers (1—3 years)
- Diapers (6-8 per day for each child)
- Diaper Wipes (2 boxes for 2 days) In case no water is available for clean ups.)

Toys (i.e. puzzles-50 to 250 pieces/cards/games/books/puppets/ non-toxic, washable art supplies-supervised play/music and books on tape/ Game Boy—optional/extra batteries.) No sharp objects.

- Flashlights/extra batteries (in sealed waterproof container)
Although hurricanes are a major threat to our area, there are other events that may occur which may require evacuation from your home. Brush fires, hazardous materials spills, floods and tornadoes all have a potentially disruptive influence on our daily lives. To prepare for the unknown, each home should have a 72 hour Disaster Survival kit. You will need to pack some essential items to help you and your family survive, whether you stay at home or leave it during a disaster. Don’t forget pets when applicable.
Here is a minimum suggested list of survival kite supplies to be added to those on the Quick Kid Pack list.
- Drinking Water (One gallon per person per day in unbreakable containers)
- Manual can opener
- Personal medications (pills & written prescriptions/spare eyeglasses)
- Important Family Documents (keep items in airtight plastic bags)
- First aid kit
- Battery operated radio (headphones or earphone)
- Flashlight
- Extra batteries
- Blankets, pillows, sleeping bags, or lawn chairs
- Sanitary supplies (toilet paper/soap/feminine supplies/plastic garbage bags/ties)
- Road maps
- Wet and cold weather clothing
