The NAFC Child Care Committee and Board of Directors have developed programs to fill the growing childcare needs of Collier County, professional assistance for centers, and special events are planned in addition to the ongoing programs listed below. The NAFC Early Childhood Education Committee meets at 1:00 p.m., the third Friday of every month at the NAFC Board Room. Membership is open.
This program puts a spotlight on the impact of low child care wages on children's development and calls for greater investment in child care jobs.

The Apple Blossom Awards are presented at the annual NAFC Advocacy Dinner in May. The Awards are funded through a grant from Henry and Betty Albrecht Fund of the Community Foundation.
NAFC offers the “Discipline Toolbox,” free workshops, consultations and resource materials for child care directors and teachers that focus on behavioral problems in young children.
The Naples Alliance for Children On-site Early Childhood Education Consultation Service offers free early childhood consultation services to Child Care Centers upon request. This is part of the NAFC initiative to improve the quality of pre-school education in Collier County. The 2003/04 school readiness program is funded through a grant from the Community Foundation of Collier County. An Infant/Toddler Social/Emotional Development Toolbox is available.
