The NAFC Homeless Children’s fund assists homeless children and their families. Financial grants for immediate need expenses not covered by other funding sources. Monies from this fund will cover immediate need expenses that may include, but are not limited to, food, laundry, clothing, gas and medications. The fund is established as a self directed community service fund at the Community Foundation of Collier County.
In 2009 Collier County Public Schools documented 812 homeless students. In addition, many more non-school age homeless children are living in our county. They represent children living in temporary shelters, motels, cars and vans, teenagers who are “couch-surfing”, evicted families and multi-families living in a one family home. CHILDREN WHO DO NOT HAVE A FIXED REGULAR OR ADEQUATE NIGHTTIME RESIDENCE QUALIFY FOR HOMELESS EDUCATION SERVICES. Your donation will help generate monies that will help homeless families this year and in the future.
Send your tax deductible donations to the Naples Alliance for Children Homeless Fund, 660 Ninth Street North, Suite 35D, Naples, FL, 34102, or the Community Foundation of Collier County, NAFC Homeless Child Fund, 2400 North Tamiami Trail, Suite 300, Naples, FL 34103.
