Child Safety is one of our community’s most important issues, but it is one we tend to take for granted until a tragedy happens. The KlaasKids Foundation was created following the 1993 kidnap and murder of 12-year-old Polly Klaas. KlaasKids Foundation child safety programs are designed to promote awareness and education for parents and children in an effort to protect children against violence. Since 1994, Print-A-Thon events have fingerprinted and photographed more than 1,000,000 children at no cost to families and without data basing children’s personal and private information.
As a service to the community Naples Alliance for Children in cooperation with Florida Coalition Against Human Trafficking is underwriting this program so that there is no charge to families. We thank the United Way of Collier County for making it possible for us to offer this community service during their annual “Walk for the Way.”
