The Naples Alliance for Children (NAFC) a locally founded and funded not-for-profit agency has provided exemplary networking services and educational programs for the Collier County community since its inception in l987. Through a recent, detailed self-audit, NAFC’s Board of Directors found that the majority of services provided by NAFC are being offered through other community agencies. To minimize duplication of services, Naples Alliance for Children is announcing the closing of its operations as of August 1, 2016.
Although NAFC will be closing, the mission of the organization will continue through other entities within Collier County. The Community Foundation of Collier County will oversee a new NAFC Early Childhood Education Fund that provides financial support for Collier County Early childhood Education teachers.
The existing NAFC Early Childhood Apple Blossom awards and Family Friendly Business recognition programs will be transitioned to Collier Child Care Resources.
The resource and referral mission of NAFC will continue through various local not-for-profit agencies.
The NAFC Board and staff are extremely grateful to the individuals and businesses that participated in its programs and offered support during over 29 years of service to the community.
